  • 1. What are the payment options for your SaaS services?

Mithi’s services are available under various subscription plans, which can be applied to your users depending on their role, allowing you to allocate the right amount of resources to the user. This ability to mix plans across your users, allows you to optimize costs.

Mithi offers these subscription plans with two payment agreements:

    Contract
In this model, you pre-order your subscription plans as per your current and perceived needs and opt to pay for these quantities on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual basis, in advance. Contract periods are typically annual.

    Pay-per-use
If you opt for this mode of payment, you don’t have to pre-order any subscription plans or quantities or enter into any time-bound contracts. The system will allow you to use the service as per your needs and will bill you only on your actual usage at the end of every month, in arrears. Learn more about how Pay Per Use works.

  • 2. What happens to the data after the subscription period is over?

There are two triggers to ending your agreement with Mithi

    You cancel the services
The customer account and all associated data will be automatically marked for deletion and cleared during the scheduled data clean-up of our system.

You default on paying the bills within the stipulated period
Your account may enter a suspension period. The suspension period lasts for 30 days. During this 30-day period, the administrator won’t be able to perform any changes or onboard new users via the administration console, while the end-user functions will be unaffected for the first 15 days, after which the end-users will also lose access to their accounts. After 30 days to mark the end of the full suspension period, the customer account and all associated data may be automatically marked for deletion and cleared during the scheduled data clean-up of our system.

This is an irreversible operation. To prevent this, please ensure that your account is reinstated and made current before the end of the 30-day suspension period.

All this is documented in detail in our SLA.

  • 3. What happens when I have setup archiving for all the licensed number of users?

If your preferred payment agreement with Mithi is a "Contract", you won't be able to add any more users until you purchase additional users for your subscription. To purchase additional resources or user licenses, you can simply write in your request to our billing team, who will update your license and send you a pro-rated invoice from the date of purchase to the end of your contract period for the new purchase.

With the "Pay per Use" payment agreement model for the consumption of our cloud services, this question is no more valid. In this model, you don't buy any resources upfront and instead go about using the service, grow or shrink as your workload changes and pay only for what you use at the end of the month. We have simplified the entire consumption and billing process for our customers by moving to a pay per use model. Learn more about how Pay Per Use works.

  • 4. Which plan is appropriate for me?

You can optimize costs by purchasing and mixing plans as per the roles of the user.

For a set of users, it may suffice to have a short term backup of all their email along with a self-service portal to help them find their email when required. This will make the users more productive and reduce the burden on the IT teams. For this set of users, the Continuity plan, which stores mail up to 10 GB (about 3 years worth of email), is ideal.

For another set of users, who work in the legal or finance department and their area of work falls under regulatory compliance, the Tracer plan is ideal. The Tracer plan supports the retention of email up to 30 GB (approx 8 years worth of email)

The Durability plan preserves email up to 100 GB (approx 20 years worth of email) and is the most appropriate to store the email of users, whose data is critical and timeless.

The Hold plan is a storage-based plan. Thus, the Hold plan is ideally suited to upload large volumes of legacy email data and have the email search ready at all times. Also, it is ideally suited to archive live emails of users, whose email volume may not be very high. This helps optimize costs since the uptake on storage is slower.

All these plans are also offered on a pay per use payment agreement. Learn more about how Pay Per Use works.

  • 5. How can I upgrade my subscription Plan?

If your preferred payment agreement with Mithi is a "Contract", you can write back to us with your preference to change your subscription.

In the pay per use payment agreement, you can freely move users amongst the plans, add new users, delete users, delete data, and our billing platform will track your usage on a daily basis, and finally bill you only for what you used in the month. Hence, you are in full control of your consumption. The pro-rata for calculating the bill is daily.

  • 6. Can I get access to my archived mail data, if I decide to cancel the service?

    Yes, sure you can.

Mithi is a custodian of your data and not the owner.

You can use the Export functionality of Vaultastic to pull out your data. If the data size is very large, you have the option of receiving this via a physical medium, the AWS snowball. Please note that the export process is billable on a per GB basis, along with any services if you require and the use of the AWS snowball if required. The use of these resources is tracked by our billing system to be added to your monthly bill.

Once you cancel the service, you will not be able to access your data, and the data will be marked for automatic deletion by our systems.

  • 7. What happens if I exhaust my pre-purchased resources or quantities during the contract period?

With the "Contract" payment agreement, you typically pre-purchase resources and quantities and agree to pay for them on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual basis. During the contract period, if you exhaust your pre-purchased resources, storage, number of users, you can simply purchase additional resources at a pro-rata rate from the date of your purchase to the end of your contract period.

With the "Pay per Use" payment agreement, you don't have to maintain or track licenses anymore. We have simplified the entire consumption and billing process for our customers by moving to a pay per use model. In this model, you don't buy any resources upfront and instead, go about using the service, grow or shrink as your workload changes and pay only for what you use at the end of the month (usage pro-rated by the day). • 11. How do you bill for the variable usage of the Vaultastic service?

With the "Contract" payment agreement, you typically pre-purchase resources and quantities and agree to pay for them on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual basis. When your contract period is nearing the renewal data, our systems will alert you of renewal and followup with you to confirm the renewal.

During the contract period, if you exhaust your pre-purchased resources, storage, number of users, you can simply purchase additional resources at a pro-rata rate from the date of your purchase to the end of your contract period.

The other option is to continue using the extra resources and our systems detect that your usage has crossed your original purchase and you receive a monthly bill for the extra consumption on a pro-rata basis.

With the "Pay per Use" payment agreement, there is no additional variable billing since the charge is for the actual consumption of any of the services from Mithi.

We have simplified the entire consumption and billing process for our customers by introducing the pay per use model. In this model, you don't buy any resources upfront and instead go about using the service, grow or shrink as your workload changes and pay only for what you use at the end of the month (usage pro-rated by the day).
